About Us

Pet Sitters NZ was established in 2004 by Wendy Mackay to cater for a niche she found in the market of in-home pet care.

The business was started when Wendy needed somewhere for her guinea pig Tinkerbell to stay, but was completely out of options! The thought of putting him in unfamiliar surroundings, with the distress for him and herself was not desirable, nor did she want to impose on friends or relatives. What was needed was personalised, professional care that would allow peace of mind whilst travelling. This was the beginning of Petsitters NZ.

The business has grown over the years, with many happy customers, and more staff to take care of the growing numbers of much loved pets we care for.
