Meet Our Team

Wendy Mackay - Owner

Wendy covers all areas and has been involved with all types of animals over the years!  Back in England, Wendy spent two years at Equestrian College gaining her BHSAI and recently completed a Certificate in Basic Animal Care. Her love of animals goes back as far as she can remember and has owned cats, dogs, horses, hamsters, rabbits, chickens, and bred guinea pigs to name but a few. Wendy currently owns two black cats, Roxy and Keef, and a horse called Cruise. Wendy also enjoys rescuing many stray dogs and injured animals and knows from years of experience that pets respond best to love and affection. Nothing has ever replaced petting!

Staff

Dawn Cobb

Mainly covers Stoke and Tahuna areas and has extensive experience with animals gained over many years.  Dawn has the pleasure of owning two West Highland Terriers and a very cute cat!  Dawn also has experience with horses.

Jackie Thorns

Mainly covers the Richmond/Hope areas and holds a National Certificate in Animal Care.  Jackie is also one of our Doggie Foster Families which has delighted 'Tish' her Border Collie who loves to have friends come to stay and play!

Lauryce Nixon

Mainly covers Richmond and Stoke areas and has been with Pet Sitters since 2005. Lauryce holds a NZQA in pet care and has the pleasure of owning two Miniature Schnauzers, Dexter & Lochie, a cat called Goldie and two rabbits called Mischief and Nugget.

Janine Jack

Mainly covers the Nelson City area and holds a National Certificate in Animal Care. Janine brings a great deal of expertise with dog training and obedience and enjoys competing with her own 2 dogs.  Janine also offers private dog training lessons.

All staff have police clearance and are thoroughly reference checked.
